A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive email addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy in case you have a Linux shared hosting with our company. You can activate this option through our advanced, albeit intuitive Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your account. You will see all the mailboxes that you have created shown in alphabetical order and on the right side of each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you if a certain mailbox gets all the messages associated with a certain domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you like. In case there is active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you will get a warning message from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be set up with a couple of clicks in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes using any domain registered here. To enable the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you will have to click on the symbol with the same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Disabling this functionality can be achieved in the exact same manner and will not take more than one click either. In case the catch-all option has already been enabled for a particular domain, you’ll get a warning. The same is valid if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never disable or change any feature automatically.
